How to Prepare for a Newborn Session. Welcoming a new baby is an exciting and precious time! To ensure we capture these beautiful moments smoothly, here are some tips to prepare for your newborn session:
1. Timing Newborn sessions are best done within the first 5-14 days after birth when babies are still very sleepy and easy to pose.
2. Feeding Feed. your baby just before the session to help them feel calm and sleepy.If possible, have extra bottles or be ready to breastfeed during the session, as newborns may need a little top-up.
3. Clothing Dress. Your baby in loose, easy-to-remove clothing to avoid marks on their skin.For parents and siblings, wear neutral, solid colors to complement the baby’s soft tones.
4. Keep Warm. Our studio will be warm to keep your baby comfortable during poses, so dress in layers to stay comfortable yourself.
5. Props and Outfits. We provide a selection of props, blankets, wraps, and accessories, but feel free to bring anything personal, like a special blanket or heirloom.
6. Patience is Key. Newborn sessions can take time to allow for feeding, changing, and soothing. We’ll go at your baby’s pace to ensure a relaxed experience.
